LUBBOCK'S SPRINGTAIL

Springtails are minute. Darwin missed seeing them, but they are in Australia and the first one was found by Darwin’s friendly neighbour: the banker, baron, polymath and pall-bearer for Darwin himself: John Lubbock—and he discovered these Springtaols on the mountain.
